Leon Donegan marched with Giles Yellow Jackets from 1951 to 1965. He was Drum Major from 1956 thru 1957 and Corps Manager from 1963 thru 1966. In between he played Bass Drum, Tenor Drum and was the Tenor Drum instructor.
He was a graduate of Englewood High School and Wilson Jr. College and also attended Roosevelt University. Presently he is retired from the State of Illinois, after over 35 years of service, where he worked in the Administrative level of Job Services.
He has one daughter. He still plays the drums. He says " Since retiring in 1996, I have traveled and enjoyed visiting historical places."
